Dear Backers,
Thank you all for taking time to post the message and comments about our Zenlet 2 series wallet. We have reviewed each of these messages & comments with gratefulness as your feedbacks are highly appreciated and are the driving force for the improvements.
We are thrilled that some of you have given us the thumb-up feedbacks about our Zenlet 2, which means a lot to us as these compliments show us you have perceived the design concepts of Zenlet 2 and you enjoy using it. However, some of you have some doubts and we would like to take this opportunity to share with you the ideas behind the design and also the intended usage of Zenlet 2.
Slide Open & Close
Some backers commented that the wallet cannot be slide open or fan out properly. There are several reasons for that.
When we designed Zenlet 2, we have taken proper account of the human factor and the interaction between it and the people who use them. Unlike its first version, the user of Zenlet 2 needs to slide open the wallet all the way down to see the pop-up mechanism which allows for the easy removal of the cards. On the other hand, the user needs to slide close the wallet in a specific way by pressing down in a certain angle.
Sometimes, the incorrectly installed RFID Kit may cause the wallet unable to slide open. The so-called RFID Kit means the specific card which is to be sensed remotely has been put on the tray and placed inside the wallet. Any incorrect steps may cause the wallet unable to slide open.
Degree of Tightness
When we launched the first version 3 years ago, lots of backers commented that it was too tight and could not be opened easily. Therefore, when designing Zenlet 2, we have intentionally to make it easier to slide up and down the wallet.
Nevertheless, if you deem your wallet is too lose, we are able to adjust the degree of tightness for you. Please kindly contact our Customer Service at [email protected] for more details.
QC of Front Panel
Each Zenlet 2 wallet has gone through QC inspected & testing before they were shipped out. However, sometimes, we cannot spot the problem area right away during the inspection. For example, when our QC team examined the cleanliness of the front panel, there was no sign of the cracks. However, few days after the wallet has been delivered to the backers, there were cracks shown on the front panel. After checking with the paint shop, we believe it is the effects of the weather and humidity that triggered the cracks. We have identified the root cause and taken the necessary preventive actions. If the crack on the front panel is a concern to you, please send an email to our Customer Service at [email protected]
Card Installation
When the first card (the bottom one) is hidden and cannot be found, please make sure if the RFID Kit is installed properly. If it is installed properly, please do the following small test to see the situation improves.
Move your thumb to the area near the ZENLET logo, press, and slide down to open the wallet.
Gap
Compared to its first version, we have intentionally designed Zenlet 2 series wallet to make it easier to slide open. In order to achieve this effect, we would have to reserve certain degree of gap to ensure the sliding on the track is smooth and at ease.
However, the factory also have its own range of admissible tolerances when manufacturing the front panel and also the aluminum case body. Therefore, the combination of the tolerance for easy sliding and the tolerance for manufacturing purposes from the factory’s point of view will sometimes create a gap.
The gap itself will not affect the functionality of the wallet, nevertheless, if it is a concern for you, please kindly contact our Customer Service at [email protected] for more details.
Lightweight & Compact
In order to be ergonomic and to avoid carrying a heavy Zenlet 2 wallet, we have decided to use the material of aluminum alloy. In addition, we have applied the costly and time-consuming CNC machining process to hollow the whole chunk of aluminum alloy to come up with the light but compact case body. FYI,
Zenlet 2 weigh the same as its first version.
Since Zenlet 2 is very different from its first version in terms of mechanism and usage, it will require a learning curve and will take a while to get used to it. If you encounter any of the above issues while using your Zenlet 2, please contact our Customer Service at [email protected] immediately and please don’t try to push open the wallet.
Best,
ZENLET team
